Terms of Use for Adventurous Family Tours
Welcome to Adventurous Family Tours. By accessing our website, booking our tours, or using any of our services, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are intended to ensure a smooth, transparent, and enjoyable travel experience for all our clients.
1. Booking and Confirmation
All bookings are considered confirmed only after receipt of the required deposit or full payment.
Clients are required to provide accurate personal, passport, and travel information at the time of booking. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in delays, denied services, or additional costs, for which the client shall be responsible.
Late Bookings
Bookings made less than seven (7) days before the scheduled departure date require full payment immediately upon confirmation.
Adventurous Family Tours reserves the right to decline bookings that cannot be operationally accommodated.
2. Payments
Payments must be completed within the timelines communicated during booking confirmation.
Prices may change due to:
- Government taxes and park fee adjustments
- Currency exchange fluctuations
- Airline or accommodation pricing changes
- Unforeseen operational costs
Any outstanding balance must be cleared before the commencement of travel unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing through official communication channels.
Refunds shall be processed according to the following conditions:
- More than 30 days before departure: Partial refund less administrative and processing fees
- 15–30 days before departure: 50% refund of the total amount paid
- Less than 15 days before departure: No refund applicable
No refunds will be issued for:
- Missed tours
- Late arrivals
- Unused accommodation, meals, transport, or activities
- Voluntary withdrawal from the tour after commencement
Refund processing timelines may vary depending on payment providers and third-party suppliers.
4. Travel Disclaimer and Client Responsibility
Clients are required to follow all safety instructions provided by guides, drivers, hotel staff, and tour representatives throughout the journey.
Adventurous Family Tours shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, accident, delay, or damage resulting from:
- Failure to comply with safety instructions
- Negligence by the traveler
- Actions of third-party service providers
- Events beyond reasonable control
Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically, mentally, and physically fit for travel and participation in scheduled activities.
5. Passports, Visas, and Travel Documents
Travelers are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying valid:
- Passports
- Visas
- Vaccination certificates
- Identification documents
- Any additional travel permits required by destination countries
Passport Validity
All passports must remain valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended travel date.
Kenya Entry Requirements
Certain travelers may require an electronic travel authorization or visa to enter Kenya, including eVisa or ETA requirements for travelers aged 16 years and above where applicable.
Failure to secure the necessary documentation may result in denied travel, and the company shall not be liable for related losses.
6. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers and remains the responsibility of the client.
Travel insurance should ideally cover:
- Medical emergencies
- Trip cancellations
- Personal belongings
- Flight delays or interruptions
- Emergency evacuation
7. Package Exclusions
Unless otherwise stated, package prices generally exclude:
- Travel insurance
- Visa and entry fees
- Personal expenses
- Laundry services
- Alcoholic and premium beverages
- Tips and gratuities
- Optional activities not listed in the itinerary
Clients are advised to carefully review package inclusions before confirming bookings.
8. Children Policy
Children are welcome on selected tours and packages under the following pricing structure:
- Children aged 0–2 years: Free of charge
- Children aged 3–12 years sharing with adults: Pay 50% of the adult rate
- Children aged 3–12 years in their own room: Pay 75% of the adult rate
Specific accommodation providers may apply different child policies depending on room configurations and destination requirements.
9. Changes to Itineraries
While every effort is made to operate tours as planned, Adventurous Family Tours reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, transport arrangements, or activities when necessary due to:
- Weather conditions
- Government directives
- Safety considerations
- Supplier operational changes
- Force majeure events
Alternative arrangements of comparable standard will be provided whenever possible.
10. Intellectual Property
All website content, including logos, text, graphics, branding, photographs, and marketing materials, remains the property of Adventurous Family Tours unless otherwise stated.
Unauthorized reproduction, copying, or commercial use of any materials is prohibited.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Kenya.
Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
