Having cleared Kenyan customs at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, make your way into the arrivals hall, where you will be met and welcomed by your designated private driver/guide. Transfer to the leafy suburb of Karen where you will overnight at Macushla House. Depending on your arrival time, a number of optional local excursions can be pre-arranged for you in Nairobi. Located just a short way from your hotel, a popular activity is to visit the famous residents of Giraffe Manor at feeding time. Also in the area is the Karen Blixen museum located in here original farmhouse at the foot of the Ngong Hills. Dinner and overnight at Macushla House. Note : check in to your rooms is generally from 15:00 onwards, although you can use the public facilities at any tiem.
After breakfast, depart for the Laikipia plateau in the Central Kenyan Highlands. Travelling by tarmac road to Nanyuki, the final 2hours of the journey will be on dirt roads which can be rough. Late lunch on arrival followed by afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in Laikipia Wilderness Camp. Travel Time: ~6 hours

After breakfast and a final Wildlife activity hosted by the lodge, its time to head back on the road with your private driver/guide. Your journey will take you 320 KM North to the Samburu National Reserve, a transition from highland forest to arid rugged terrain. After checking in to camp, you will head out with your guide for your first game drive in the reserve . Dinner and overnight in Soroi Larrsens Camp. Travel Time: ~6 hours
A full day to enjoy this stunning reserve. Typically, the day begins with an early morning drive just after sunrise, when the wildlife is most active and the golden light bathes the rugged landscape. Often elephants are encountered along the Ewaso Ng’iro River, big cats like lions and leopards are on the move, as well as the region’s unique “Samburu Special Five”—Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. After a hearty breakfast back at camp, the midday hours are spent relaxing, enjoying lunch, or perhaps visiting a local Samburu village for a cultural experience. As the afternoon cools, another game drive offers a chance to see giraffes browsing, elephants gathering, and predators preparing for the evening hunt. The day ends with sundowners in the bush and a starlit dinner at camp, often accompanied by the distant calls of hyenas or lions echoing through the night.
Following a final game drive in the Samburu reserve, he journey to Lewa winds through scenic northern Kenya, transitioning from the arid, rugged terrain of Samburu to the lush, rolling hills of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Arriving in time for lunch, the property enjoys sweeping views of acacia-dotted plains and Mount Kenya rising in the distance. An afternoon game drive with your guide reveals Lewa’s rich biodiversity, including black and white rhinos, Grevy’s zebras, and large elephant herds. The conservancy’s open landscapes and well-managed wildlife corridors offer excellent visibility and a peaceful, exclusive safari experience, often capped by a golden sunset over the northern frontier.
